This Riding Just Got Interesting

August 21st, 2021 | RR

Banff-Airdrie has been a secure seat for Conservative MP, Blake Richards, since 2008. He is now serving as the Opposition Whip for Erin O'Toole after endorsing Erin O'Toole in the past two Conservative leadership races. Usually Banff-Airdrie flies under the radar as a safe seat for Conservatives, but the riding has become the most talked about riding in Alberta following the entrance of a carpetbagger from Ontario named Derek Sloan.

What Happened In Nova Scotia?

August 19th, 2021 | RR

With what was supposed to be a Liberal win, the province of Nova Scotia has stunned the country. Going into the province's 41st election, polls predicted a likely Liberal government. Instead, what unfolded was a strong Progressive Conservative majority of 31 seats. Like it was a walk in the park, the provincial PCs were able to easily unseat the long-serving Liberals and their new leader, Iain Rankin.

Conservatives Will Do Better Than You Think

August 15th, 2021 | SP

It has happened, just as expected. Little Justin called a snap election in the middle of what we are told is a fourth wave of the pandemic. He will sell danger and fear, but gleefully overlook his own hypocrisy in making an election call. Should we expect anything different from this dainty, half-witted charlatan? Most Canadians never wanted his selfish attempt to grab more power, but it has come to fruition and Canadians will not be as rewarding as he may want to believe.

The Maverick Party Gains Steam

August 2nd, 2021 | RR

Offering a fair deal for the Western provinces, the upstart Maverick Party is gaining steam in Alberta, Saskatchewan and parts of British Columbia. Headed by a retired Reform MP named Jay Hill, the party is barely a year old and has already broken into the consciousness of a growing number of Western voters.

Get Vaccinated, Or Lose Your Healthcare?

August 1st, 2021 | RR

You'll notice a lot of people, in a lot of places and powerful positions, saying that we need mandatory vaccines. A new argument popping up in Canada goes as far as possibly revoking public healthcare rights from people who choose not to get vaccinated. This is an ongoing battle many of us have had in protecting our freedoms against angry mobs that are driven by fear and self-righteousness, but it's one we have been losing since the beginning of time.

People Are Ridiculous And Freedoms Are Imaginary

August 1st, 2021 | JH

Despite the best attempts of the media and the progressive establishment that goes with it, Covid appears to be finally finished. The constant fear-mongering over "the variants" doesn’t seem to be working and data out of the U.K. show that Covid is evolving into a common cold. Whether this is due to variants following the historical pattern of slowly becoming more transmissible, but less deadly as time goes by, or if this is the result of a heavily vaccinated population minimizing the impacts, remains to be learned.

Biden And Harris Were Anti-Vaxxers In 2020

August 1st, 2021 | TC

Much has been made about vaccine hesitancy in the United States over the past few months as vaccination rates begin to plateau, just short of 70%, or the amount required to achieve herd immunity. Those who express any hesitation about a vaccine are immediately shamed as "anti-vaxxers".

Billionaire Astronauts: Symbols Of Our Regression

August 1st, 2021 | RR

In 1969, humans landed the first man on the moon. In 2021, a billionaire shot himself into Earth's lower orbit for eleven minutes in a dildo shaped rocket. Note the difference. Humans haven't successfully sent a human to another rock or planet in more than sixty years, but we're willing to let a bunch of billionaires proclaim that Blue Origin and Virgin Galactic have accomplished something historic.

A Cinematic Hate Crime

August 1st, 2021 | JH

Movies like The Last Boy Scout are no longer made because their sensibilities are so wildly out-of-step with modern Hollywood. Our cultural zeitgeist has moved (progressed) so far away from movies like The Last Boy Scout, that younger viewers will view this movie as some kind of artifact from a bygone civilization. I watched this movie multiple times back in high school in the early 90's, but the political and cultural change over the past 30 yearsmade revisiting this film a curious (but worthwhile) endeavour.
