The Trump Administration's State Department gave the long awaited approval to TransCanada's Keystone XL pipeline on Friday. The pipeline had faced nearly a decade of delays under the Obama Administration.

Donald Trump signed an executive order to approve the pipeline, but the Department Of State gave final approval weeks later. Keystone XL will ship bitumen from Canada's oil sands to the United States to be refined and is expected to create up to 20,000 jobs in the United States.

TransCanada's CEO, Russ Girling, joined Donald Trump at the White House to announce the pipeline's approval.
