In a statement, Canada's Minister Of Defence, Harjit Sajjan, has expressed "regret" for claiming he was the sole architect of a military operation in Afghanistan in 2006.
After facing criticism for taking credit, Sajjan issued a statement on Operation Medusa, saying, "What I should have said was that our military successes are the result of the leadership, service and sacrifice of the many dedicated women and men in the Canadian Forces. I regret that I didn't say this then, but I want to do so now."
At a conference in India on April 18, Sajjan told the audience he was "the architect" of Operation Medusa.
