The Real Russian Connections

John Podesta, Hillary Clinton And Putin

The conspiracy theories about Donald Trump colluding with Russia are completely false. The only mainstream networks covering the fake scandal as true are CNN, MSNBC and the left-wing blogosphere. They are playing by the Democratic Party's script, word for word. The only collusion taking place is within the Democrat/Clinton establishment, which includes much of America's failing mainstream news networks. The Intelligence Committee investigating Trump's ties to Russia will turn up empty handed, but they will find evidence to back up Trump's claims of surveillance, or “wiretapping”, by the Obama White House. The amnesia stricken mainstream news networks have forgotten their coverage and confirmation that Trump may have been under surveillance in 2016. We know the evidence is there because the mainstream media examined and covered it in January.

The mainstream news has decided to run literally with Trump's “wiretap” claims, despite the term being used commonly within the intelligence community as a broad description for surveillance and “listening in” on conversations. The New York Times even used “wiretapping” in their reports about intercepted communications in January. Trump, not the buffoon everyone thinks he is, knew to put the term in quotations twice, in two separate tweets. That, however, mattered not to CNN or any of the other hyper-partisan news networks. They wanted to use “wiretapping” as a literal term to downplay and discredit what they had already confirmed as true months before the November election: that Trump and his campaign were under surveillance.

The fake Russia conspiracy theory was started long ago by the Clinton campaign and the Obama White House to discredit and defeat Donald Trump and to divert attention from Hillary Clinton's long standing relationship with Russia and her foundation's dubious dealings. The Democratic media establishment picked up the conspiracy theory and helped it spread. The genius of the whole scheme was that it could be used to: 1). Spy on the Trump campaign under the premise that he could be colluding with Putin 2). Discredit and destroy Trump if he happens to win the election 3). Create further hostilities with Russia to carry on the existing geopolitical strategy of the establishment.

Here we are in April of 2017, watching as Congress investigates Trump's non-existent ties to Russia. Here we are, being told to believe that Paul Manafort—who was fired by Trump less than a few months into the beginning of his campaign—and his dealings with Russia are proof that Trump was colluding with Putin. Meanwhile, evidence that Trump's campaign was being illegally spied on is being ignored and swept under the rug.

Fisa Warrants, Wiretapping And Spying

We don't need to look any further for evidence of the FBI spying on members of Donald Trump's team than the same news providers that are telling us that Trump is nuts and unhinged for thinking he was “tapped”.

Here is what The Guardian reported three months ago:

The Guardian has learned that the FBI applied for a warrant from the foreign intelligence surveillance (Fisa) court over the summer in order to monitor four members of the Trump team suspected of irregular contacts with Russian officials. The Fisa court turned down the application asking FBI counter-intelligence investigators to narrow its focus. According to one report, the FBI was finally granted a warrant in October, but that has not been confirmed, and it is not clear whether any warrant led to a full investigation.” -- January 11, 2017, The Guardian

Here is what the New York Times, interestingly, reported about Paul Manafort and wiretapping:

Mr. Manafort is among at least three Trump campaign advisers whose possible links to Russia are under scrutiny. Two others are Carter Page, a businessman and former foreign policy adviser to the campaign, and Roger Stone, a longtime Republican operative.

The F.B.I. is leading the investigations, aided by the National Security Agency, the C.I.A. and the Treasury Department’s financial crimes unit. The investigators have accelerated their efforts in recent weeks but have found no conclusive evidence of wrongdoing, the officials said. One official said intelligence reports based on some of the wiretapped communications had been provided to the White House.” -- January 19, 2017, New York Times

This story in the New York Times has already confirmed what will eventually be confirmed by the Intelligence Committee: there is no evidence of wrongdoing inside Trump's campaign, and “wiretapped” communications were given to the Obama White House.

This fairly young, three-month-old story contradicts all of the aggressive reporting against Donald Trump and his administration that is currently dominating CNN and MSNBC. It confirms that the Russia conspiracy theory is entirely baseless and that “wiretapping” is a common term used to describe surveillance.

If member's of Trump's team weren't wiretapped, how did Michael Flynn's phone conversations and transcripts of his communications with Russia materialize? More troubling is how names were unmasked in these supposed transcripts and intelligence reports.

The “incidental” collection of Trump's communications, again, happened under the guise of this false Russia conspiracy theory. Any damaging material (unrelated to Russia) from the Trump campaign was undoubtedly intended to be shared with the Obama White House and the Clinton campaign.

No matter the outcome of the investigation into Trump's ties to Russia, the mainstream Democratic media establishment will misreport and spin the findings to fit the ongoing narrative.

John Podesta's Links To Russia

Congressman Louie Gohmert has called for an investigation into John Podesta's role within companies directly linked to Rusnano, a state-owned equity firm in Russia. Rusnano seeks to produce Russian nanotechnology and was originally devised by Vladimir Putin and his United Russia party in 2007. John Podesta joined the boards of several companies with direct links to Rusnano in 2011.

As the Daily Caller reported last month, the companies Podesta was involved with received payments and investments from Russia within three months of him joining their boards:

Three months after Podesta’s arrival, Joule Unlimited accepted a 1 billion ruble investment from Rusnano, amounting to $35 million in U.S. currency. The firm also awarded a Joule board seat in February 2012 to Anatoly Chubais, Rusnano’s CEO, who has been depicted as a corrupt figure.

Podesta has attempted to downplay his relationship with Joule and Rusnano, but it could come to haunt him.

One potential legal problem for him relates to the time he joined former President Barack Obama’s White House staff in 2014 as a senior counselor and failed to reveal his 2011 Joule stock vesting agreement in his government financial disclosure form. Further, he failed to disclose 75,000 common shares of Joule stock he received, as disclosed in a WikiLeaks email.” -- March 21, 2017, Daily Caller

Had Hillary Clinton won the presidency in November, would CNN be spending as much time today covering those connections? We have no reason to believe that they would, because Podesta's links to Joule date as far back as 2011 and could have been easily uncovered by the same journalists who have been spending months trying to expose Donald Trump's ties to Russia.

Virtually no coverage of John Podesta's ties have yet made it to CNN, MSNBC or any of the nightly newscasts at NBC, ABC and CBS. Instead those organizations have kept the focus on a former Trump campaign chief who was fired for his alleged Russia/Ukraine connections after less than six months on the job.

John Podesta was involved with Joule in 2011 and failed to disclose his stocks while employed by the Obama Administration in 2014. It is also likely that the Clinton campaign was aware of these connections but refused to fire Podesta. Yet CNN has shown no interest in this story.

Uranium One And Hillary

By now all Americans know that Hillary Clinton, in collusion with Russia through her foundation, sold more than 20% of America's uranium to Russia. This has been widely covered by Breitbart and Sean Hannity, but seems to have escaped the sights of CNN and MSNBC. Had Hillary Clinton become president, her past relations with Russia and her Unranium One deal would be far more nefarious than a few members of Trump's team meeting with an ambassador. I'm willing to bet that CNN and Jeff Zucker would not think so.

Let us again turn to the mainstream news media for what we know about this nefarious deal involving Hillary Clinton, her foundation and Russia. Exactly two years ago this month, the New York Times reported this:

As the Russians gradually assumed control of Uranium One in three separate transactions from 2009 to 2013, Canadian records show, a flow of cash made its way to the Clinton Foundation. Uranium One’s chairman used his family foundation to make four donations totaling $2.35 million. Those contributions were not publicly disclosed by the Clintons, despite an agreement Mrs. Clinton had struck with the Obama White House to publicly identify all donors. Other people with ties to the company made donations as well.

And shortly after the Russians announced their intention to acquire a majority stake in Uranium One, Mr. Clinton received $500,000 for a Moscow speech from a Russian investment bank with links to the Kremlin that was promoting Uranium One stock.” -- April 23, 2015, New York Times

Oh, boy! Would you look at that. Not even a minuscule piece of evidence has yet shown any kind of similar dealing inside the Trump campaign. Hillary Clinton and her husband had direct dealings with Renaissance Capital, a Russian investment bank with direct links to the Kremlin, according to the mainstream news media in 2015.

Here we are, two years later, discussing Donald Trump's non-existent links to the Kremlin. Because a few members of his campaign had normal meetings with a Russian ambassador—the same ambassador who met with Nancy Pelosi in 2010—we are expected to believe that Donald Trump may have committed treason. The ambassador in question, Sergey Kislyak, also attended Trump's first joint address to Congress and sat with Democrats. Kislyak is also known as a regular visitor on Capitol Hill.

It Really Is Fake News

It is quite startling that such fake news about a Russian ambassador has dominated air time on most of America's mainstream news networks, and that the Democrats in Washington have had such influence over the coverage. This takes us back to the Clinton era, when Republicans in Congress—led by Newt Gingrich—drove the media narrative to impeach Bill Clinton. In that case, they failed and Bill Clinton survived. In this case, with a much deeper level of collusion, we should not be so convinced Donald Trump will survive the onslaught.

Unlike Bill Clinton, who did have sexual relations with that woman and committed perjury by lying about it, Donald Trump and his campaign have done nothing wrong. The onslaught of false news being aimed at Trump and his team is unprecedented. The amnesia among the mainstream media's most elite should worry most Americans. The very facts they covered in January about wiretapping and possible illegal surveillance has all but vanished from their memories. Their coverage of Hillary Clinton's deep connections to Russia have been replaced by Donald Trump's circumstantial and non-existent links to the Kremlin. John Podesta's shady links to Russia are being ignored to chase false facts and narratives in order to destroy the presidency of Donald Trump.

The goal of Democrats and their friends in the media and the Republican Party is to make it impossible for Donald Trump to govern. We see evidence for this in the fact that his SCOTUS nominee, Neil Gorsuch, is being blocked by some the very same Democrats who approved him to serve as a justice on the Tenth Circuit Court Of Appeals when he was nominated by George W. Bush. Democrats and their friends in media decided on election night that Donald Trump would not be their president. Immediately after Hillary Clinton conceded defeat to Donald Trump, their contingency plan went into effect. Their objective is to destroy Trump's credibility with the public and to eventually drive an impeachment movement on the grounds of treason—or some other scandal they will concoct in the future.

According to Democrats, Trump's days in office are numbered. With the help of their friends in media, they plan to see Trump removed from office before 2020.
