How And When The Third World War Will Happen

May 1st, 2021 | AR

You have read a lot about the Third World War and how it might happen. Writers and philosophers have been trying to predict it since the second war ended, but with little success. We were told that the Cold War was the beginning, or that 9/11 was the beginning, then we were told 2008 and the financial crisis were the beginning—yet here were are, in 2021, still waiting and wondering when the one, single catalyst and defining moment will come. I am here to tell you that the wait will finally end within the next ten years. This sounds like a bold and brazen prediction because it is.

I have studied world politics and WWII in great depths and have a major in history. I have seen the generational patterns that some scholars and academia have brushed off as “too simplistic” to define or predict human nature, but the patterns have been evident throughout most of human civilization. Human events and generations follow a pattern of rebirth and self-destruction, stemming from continuous eras of prosperity and struggle, and they have presented themselves in every major crisis and collapse that has been seen throughout human civilization. We are currently living in the final crisis and collapse stage of Western civilization, which was brought forth by three generations of continuous prosperity—which has led to the very same levels of decadence, privilege and weakness that has been seen directly before previous collapses and crises, including WWII, the American Civil War and the collapse of the Roman Empire.

Throughout our history as humans, we have entered periods of long-lasting and excessive peace and prosperity. Those periods, without fail, have birthed generations that have become exceedingly less aware and conscious of hardship and struggle. From the Boomers to Generation Z, four continuous generations have not known or experienced the realities of war, economic depression and scarcity. They have only ever learned about it in history books, which are becoming more scarcely studied with every new generation.

Within a few years, Generation Z will experience these realities in their lifetimes. Some of them may also be called to war within the next decade. Millennials will mark the final generation that was able to experience uninterrupted prosperity and peace through most of their adulthoods, while Generation Z goes on to face one of the largest crises to be faced since The Greatest and Silent Generations.

The saying, “Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, weak men create hard times”, will never be more evident than it will be in the coming years. The cycle of human generations and human nature will come into full view before 2035.

This is how and when it will happen.

2022-2023: The Great Boom

As the worst pandemic since 1918-1920 (exactly one hundred years and five generations later) winds down, the global economy will face a temporary boom. Employment rates will rise to historic levels, borrowing will do the same and the “great reset” will go into overdrive as people get back to work and as banks, governments and corporate entities get back to borrowing and lending. This pattern of aggressive lending, low interest rates and borrowing will lead to the inevitable economic collapse that lays down the foundations for the Third World War.

Housing markets will balloon during these couple short years, along with labour markets and government spending, before deflating at a spectacularly fast rate.

2024-2025: The Great Depression

The very same world banks and monetary organizations that fuelled the Great Boom will begin to feel the pressure from low interest rates and a growing bubble of debt. Unable to maintain their levels of aggressive lending, their pocket books will require an incremental increase in their interest rates to secure profits and to stave off their growing debts. This increase in interest rates will trickle down through the global economy and begin to impact local governments, banks and businesses, leading to an economic crunch as they all struggle to pay their debts back at a much higher cost.

New borrowing will sink dramatically as fewer businesses and governments lose their ability to afford the cost of debt. Governments that became addicted to borrowing will be forced into economic recession, as their budgets face higher interest payments and a decreased ability to stimulate more economic growth with more debt.

Interest rates will continue to climb, despite the economic crunch. The global banks and monetary institutions will have little choice but to regain their profits to secure long term sustainability. At the expense of the global economy and global governments, these organizations will become increasingly aware of their actions and their consequences. By this time, they will foresee the economic collapse but become more focused on their own ability to fund yet another “great reset” in the future. They will continue to view themselves as saviours of the world, just as they always have. The World Bank was there to fund the rebuilding process after World War II and they plan to do the same after World War III.

2026-2035: The World War

Almost one hundred years and four generations after the second World War, the third war will begin to manifest around this time. By this time, Russia, Iran and China will have created long lasting friendships and cooperative pacts, which will pave the way for coordinated military action. They will use the global economic depression as an opportunity to strike while their opponents are weak.

Two particular military conflicts will arise around this time and they will either be coordinated between Russia and China, or one will happen immediately after the other as a result of opportunity. China will make its long anticipated strike on Taiwan (to draw the West into war), or Russia will make a move on Eastern Ukraine. One of these conflicts will spur the other, or both will happen at once in an effort to overwhelm and stretch Western powers and to create military and diplomatic chaos.

Unable to come to a quick resolution, the United States will hold emergency meetings with allies and European powers before striking against either China or Russia, and before sending defences to either Ukraine or Taiwan. Eventually, the powers will coordinate a strategy that will involve forces from some of Europe's largest and most powerful countries, namely Germany and France. The United Kingdom and its Commonwealth countries will also involve their troops in this new Western “Freedom Coalition”.

In the midst of the chaos, it is possible that Iran will blockade the Straight Of Hormuz or engage in aggressive actions to undermine Western powers.

Within weeks, the first US-led strikes will happen against Russian and Chinese forces in Ukraine and Taiwan. This will set the stage for what will officially become known as World War III. As the conflict grows, other nations will join the battle. North Korea may join Chinese efforts, while some old Soviet and Eastern European nations join Russian efforts. Nations like South Korea, India, Japan and Saudi Arabia will likely join the West's Freedom Coalition.

Turkey and Pakistan will be wild cards.

"Within a few years, Generation Z will experience these realities in their lifetimes."

Saudi Arabia could use the war as a reason to expand its own powers in the Middle East, likely by striking Iran and other smaller Middle Eastern Nations. While the world is distracted, Iran could strike Israel, creating a third conflict that requires Western intervention. North Korea could strike South Korea, creating a fourth.

This will be the Third World War.

By the time the conflicts are fully engaged, the world will begin calling it “World War Three”. Media will cover it extensively, embedding reporters in some of the battlefields, while politicians use the war to exploit taxpayers and to act on their various political agendas. Opportunity will present itself in several places and in several countries. The perpetual threat of war on the homeland in Western countries will create a news cycle of fear and hysterics unlike anything we have yet seen.

At home, in countries like Canada, a new form of lockdown will be invoked by threats of missile attacks, biological attacks and nuclear strikes from China and Russia. Martial law will come into effect in nations around the world, ordering citizens to stay in doors, for businesses to close and for everyone to seek and remain in shelter. Minor terror attacks by Chinese, Russian and Islamic radicals will become a daily occurrence in generally peaceful nations around the world.

Everyone around the world will be indoors, watching the world's most extensively televised war unfold. They will order most of their food, goods and clothing from online suppliers that make secure deliveries using drones and armoured human carriers. Streets and public squares will remain quiet and barren for most of the war's duration, while some corporate powers expand their monopolies and offer more convenient and “safe” automated services. The entertainment industry will boom, offering distraught citizens many forms of escape with interactive movies, stories and video games.

As the US military gets stretched thin and as Chinese and Russian vessels approach Nova Scotia and Vancouver Island, Canadians will come to the realization that their borders and military capabilities are, and always have been, sub par. As war reaches Alaska and the Arctic, while US troops fortify our Northern most borders for us, Canada will begin to take on a new identity and Canada will emerge as a very different nation after the war.

2036-2050: A New Era

There is no way to predict the outcome of this Third World War, but like when any major war ends, a new era of rebirth will emerge. A new cycle of civilization will begin with a new generation of people hardened by war and hardship. A new breed of strong men and women will create more good times filled with another long stretch of peace and prosperity.

A new world order will rise from the ashes, led either by the West and Europe, or led by Russia and China. New borders will be drawn and the war's losers will face a collapse similar to that of the Soviet Union. If Russia and China are the losers, their nations will break into fragments over time. Russia, as we know it, will become a series of independent countries, while China cracks in two—divided by a coalition in support of democracy and another devoted to the old Maoist ideals. If the United States and Europe are the losers, prosperity may not be the aftermath in most Western countries.

If the West loses, countries like Canada and the United States will face similar breakups and civil war.

Reeling from the loss of important territory and resources, the United States would face significant upheaval and Canada would follow closely behind. The two countries, as we know them today, would eventually cease to exist in their current forms. Parts of Canada that were not successfully occupied by Russia or China would likely join other nations, or break to form their own. Much of the same would happen in the United States. Alaska would fall to Russia, followed closely by the Yukon and most of Northern Canada. The remaining, more highly populated and landlocked regions that escaped occupation due to peace agreements or an early end to the war, like Quebec or Alberta, would join other newly formed American states or join Russian, Chinese or European blocs. Some, if left alone, could form their own independent nations.

Some of these new regions and countries would prosper, others would not. However, they would all have something in common: a population hardened by war and a generation bred into strength.
