Ron DeSantis Is A Sellout

The Florida governor was a favorite to replace Trump, until he started campaigning.
I was wrong about Ron DeSantis being an alternative to Trump. The Florida governor played all the right tunes during the pandemic years, but as the primaries come closer, he has made a pathetic appeal to the Never Trump movement inside the GOP and positioned himself as a new safe favorite for the establishment. His official campaign for president has been marred with false starts, weak strategy and a fold into the status quo. After the first debate on Fox News, it's more clear that his 2024 presidential ambitions will be what close the final chapter of his political career. Unless Trump faces disqualification, Ron DeSantis doesn't stand a chance. Even then, another candidate will steal his thunder.
Ron DeSantis' political journey began in 2012 when he was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives as a Tea Party conservative. Since then, his political ideology has undergone a puzzling transformation. Once a strong advocate for limited government and fiscal responsibility, DeSantis has shown a willingness to compromise these values in favor of appeasing the establishment.
Perhaps the most glaring example of DeSantis' sellout is his support for the $1.3 trillion tax bill passed in 2017. Despite originally campaigning on a platform that promised fiscal restraint, DeSantis voted in favor of the bill, which dramatically increased the national debt and deviated from his previously held conservative principles. This decision raises questions about the sincerity of his political convictions and highlights his willingness to compromise his values for the sake of political gain.
The U.S. establishment, comprised of influential politicians, intelligence officials, civil servants, donors, and lobbyists, is keenly aware of the potential consequences of a repeat Trump administration. Trump's unorthodox approach to politics and his disregard for establishment norms have left many within the political elite feeling uneasy. Enter Ron DeSantis, a man who, despite his initial Tea Party roots, has shown a willingness to adapt his political stances to align with the establishment's interests. It is precisely this flexibility that makes DeSantis a safe bet for the U.S. establishment in their efforts to prevent another Trump replay.
DeSantis' ability to straddle the line between the Republican Party's conservative base and the more moderate establishment has earned him favor among powerful political figures. By presenting a more palatable alternative to Trump, the establishment can rest assured that their interests will be better protected with DeSantis in the White House.
Moreover, DeSantis' track record of appeasing the establishment suggests that he would be more inclined to work within the traditional political system, rather than disrupt it as Trump has done. This makes him an attractive candidate for those who desire a return to the status quo ante, where the established order held sway and the political landscape was less chaotic.
The only problem? Republican voters aren't buying DeSantis' schtick.
While it is true that the Republican Party needs a candidate who can unite the party's various factions, it is crucial to elect a leader who remains true to their convictions and puts the best interests of the nation above personal ambition and establishment favor. The American people deserve a candidate who is authentic, steadfast, and willing to challenge the status quo in pursuit of a better future for all.
Vivek Ramaswamy is that candidate.
In a strategic memo leaked from the DeSantis campaign, there will be efforts to “support Trump” and attack Ramaswamy. The DeSantis campaign, knowing it is in trouble, will throw everything it has at Ramaswamy. In the case Donald Trump is disqualified, the vitriol will come to a boiling point as DeSantis flails and fights for his political life against a better, more superior candidate.
Vivek is doing all the things DeSantis has failed to do. He is bringing MAGA together with traditional conservatives. His support for the nuclear family, combined with his defense of Donald Trump is exactly what GOP voters need and are looking for. At the first debate, Ramaswamy was the first to enthusiastically raise his hand when the candidates were asked if they would support Trump as the nominee if he was convicted. Ron DeSantis had to look around the stage, before reluctantly raising his hand after realizing it was the more popular thing to do. That clip will continue to haunt his campaign all the way to March and Super Tuesday.

Vivek Ramaswamy

He is an Indian-American entrepreneur and businessman who has made a significant impact in the world of biotechnology and pharmaceuticals. With a relentless drive for innovation and a keen business acumen, he has built a reputation for himself as a visionary leader.
Ramaswamy was born on August 9th, 1985, in Ohio. His family moved to the United States from India. He excelled academically from a young age, and his passion for science led him to pursue a degree in biology at the prestigious Harvard University. If he were to win, it would make him the youngest president in U.S. history—and the first Millennial president.
Ramaswamy graduated from Harvard with a Bachelor of Arts in biology. He then went on to attend the Yale Law School, where he earned his Juris Doctor.
After completing his law degree, Ramaswamy worked as a lawyer, where he specialized in intellectual property and patent law. He eventually co-founded his first biotechnology company, which focused on developing therapies for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. The company successfully partnered with major pharmaceutical companies, such as AstraZeneca and Gilead Sciences, to advance its drug development programs.
In 2014, Ramaswamy founded Roivant Sciences, a global healthcare company that leverages cutting-edge technology to develop therapies for various diseases. The company operates through multiple subsidiaries, each focused on a specific therapeutic area.
Like Trump, Ramaswamy is a self-made billionaire.
